Mark Cline plays music with his local band called Stockyard Parade, and writes songs because he has something to say. Influenced by all genres, his current music has been compared to the Flaming Lips, both intricate and exploratory. Many of his songs are about disappointment, and the dark side of the human condition. Like his paintings, there are colors in the shadows of his music. Some of his writing is whimsical and some of it could work in a Tim Burton film. Expounding on life as an artist, musician, and teacher, Mark Cline wants to leave you in a better place than you were before you discovered him.
